The Spell
(L: Cimetta; M: Cimetta)
Notes:
In a nutshell, minimalist suffering. J did a great job with the poetic feel of the lyrics and screwing over the narrator. Because just when he finally gets a chance to break free, he chooses to continue to pursue the girl despite the negative ramifications.
I've been running
I've been hiding
For sometime now
I've been reminded of you.
In a prison
I keep a vision
Stuck in my mind by my
My superstition.
And still I've got no place to go
Lost in a game or a show.
I had sent in
A plea for help when
I lost a touch with my
My first impressions.
You put a spell over me
Your evil comes so naturally
Balanced the hatred with love
To deny us our help from above.
Displays of treason
For ugly reasons
Felt far beyond the
The coldest seasons.
You put a spell over me
Your evil comes so naturally
Trapped in a trance left by you
These feelings I need to get through...
