The View
(L: Schell; M: Cimetta)

During summer at six o'clock
An early morning on the dock
Blistered feet dipped in the sea
He stares straight out
The view stretches free
Seaside Heights a Jersey boardwalk
Stroll up and down for money and talk
To me himself or
Whoever
Not homeless nor hopeless
Forever.

Focus perceive
Frame the ocean your eyes shall
Never deceive.

The high noon glows his oily skin
The sea his bath he's safe from sin
Or so he thinks a philosophy
Just approach and hear
His wisdom you'll see
A tired Henry sits on crates
His friendly voice pipes up and states
Would you spare some change
For a light bite
He panhandles by day
Panhandles by night.

Look at the view-look at the view
His ocean so blue
Look at the view-look at the view
Look at me ocean so blue
It takes him away
He savors everyday
Look at the view.

Focus perceive
Frame the ocean and your eyes shall
Never deceive.

Look at the view-look at the view
His ocean so blue
Look at the view-look at the view
Lok at me ocean so blue
It takes him away
He savors everyday
Look at the view...
