HOW TO GET HERE www.off-cape-escape.comFrom either north or south, get on Highway 3 (between Boston and the Sagamore Bridge on Cape Cod.) Get off on Exit 11 and head east on Highway 14. You'll go by a cranberry bog and then the Duxbury Police Station on the right side of the road. Right after that, you'll come to a fork in the road, where Highway 14 goes off to the right. Don't go there. Stay to the left on Highway 139 West. You'll be going east at this time, so this may be a source of confusion; overcome your disorientation and keep on going east on 139 West. You'll know you're going the right direction if you see another cranberry bog on your left almost immediately after the police station and the fork in the road. Go a few miles more. Cross over Highway 3A then keep on going another five miles or so until you see Brant Rock Market and a stone church on the left. Don't follow the highway as it swings left at the ocean. Instead, turn right along the median strip, follow the road until the end of the median strip and do a U-turn. Come back along that same median strip (past the little streets of South and Middle Streets) and turn right on tiny North Street (may not be marked); there is a big, two story building there which currently houses the Brant Rock Gift Shop and a fisherman's supply store. After turning right, go about a quarter block, turn left, and our house is the first of two that's built high up on pilings - 7 Bryant's Lane. |
